Building Lego Ideas Tuxedo Cat Kit #21349 (with Time Lapse)

I haven’t built anything out of legos in probably 50 years, but when I saw that Lego was making a kit for Tuxedo cat that looks a lot like my Tuxedo Cat Popsicle (her Instagram is here), I figured I’d give it shot.

I didn’t do any research on it (or on any modern Lego kit for that matter), and so I was a bit surprised when it arrived and I realized that it consists of over 1700 pieces. (Click on any photo to enlarge)

I dove in and completed it in two sessions, totalling about 6-7 hours. I had to use the phone app for some of the more complicated stuff. Here’s a time lapse of the whole process.

Popsicle observed the construction and checked in occasionally.

It was fun and kind of weirdly calming, IF you really enjoy solving spatial relation problems. If you want to buy one and use this Amazon link I get a little kickback.
